Organic Psyllium farming is a production system that avoids or largely excludes the use of synthetically produced agricultural inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators, live stock feed additives etc. Most of the Psyllium in the U.S. is imported from India, where the growing conditions are ideal.
Organic psyllium is derived from the whole husks of psyllium seeds. It is 100% organic and contains no sugar, sodium, cholesterol, fat or additives. For production of Organic Psyllium, Psyllium is grown without pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers, contains no additives or sweeteners for highest standard quality. In whole husk form, derived from the seeds of the herb plantago ovata, Psyllium husks are a rich source of soluble fiber. They naturally promote healthy elimination and regularity while supporting the gastrointestinal system
The psyllium is grown from organic seeds that are milled with certified organic equipment to separate the whole husks. The finished product contains 95 to 99 percent pure husk, which is nearly 85 percent in non organic psyllium husk.
